Work experience as corporate and immigration lawyer for
Taiwanese companies at Subic Bay Free Port Zone, Olongapo City such as Acer
Philippines, Kayang Construction, and Taicon Philippines.
Represented Korean, Chinese and American Nationals accused of
various crimes and offenses and were facing Deportation Proceedings. In December
of 2003, Atty. Acain had the opportunity to successfully represent
Michael Ray Stubbs, the
controversial
American national who was mistakenly accused as member of the Al-Qaeda
Terrorist Organization.
In his student days, Atty. Alexander Acain, Jr.
served as two term President of the Supreme Student Government of Southwestern
University. He was also a student activist and served as National Vice-President
of the National Union of Students of the Philippines (NUSP). He also
actively participated in the campaign against the removal of US Bases in the
Philippines and was elected Chairman of the Anti-Bases Advocates Group (ABAG).
He was also an Editor of The Quill - school organ of Southwestern
University.
In 1995 senatorial elections, his services was
engaged as Over-all Campaign coordinator for Senator Sergio Osmeņa
III in Zamboanga Peninsula where he managed a group of Provincial and Municipal
campaign managers.
Atty Acain is also an internet lawyer and member editor of
Netscape Open Directory Project. His internet presence was first established in
1999 at
Findlaw.com. Since then he has been giving legal advice on-line.
